Drag Brunch Fundraiser to Benefit Christopher's Challenge

Join us on Saturday, September 14 at The Spotted Octopus for a fabulous Drag Brunch Fundraiser benefiting Christopher's Challenge! Hosted by Ambrosia Salad, Honey Chew Chew, and Kyla Minx, this event promises a fun-filled day of delicious food, dazzling performances, and the chance to support a life-saving cause!

The brunch kicks off at 11:00 AM with a spectacular drag performance lineup. Tickets include the entertainment only – food and drinks are available a la carte at the restaurant.

Special Guest: Tommy Bechtold Makes His Drag Debut!

We’re thrilled to announce that local celebrity Tommy Bechtold will be joining us for this special event, making his Drag Debut! Tommy is a well-known actor and comedian with an impressive resume in TV, film, and digital media. You may recognize him from his roles in popular shows like "The Jim Gaffigan Show", "The Good Fight", and "The Blacklist", as well as his appearances in various comedy sketches.

During Tommy’s performance, all tips collected will go directly to Christopher's Challenge, supporting the critical work they do. Come cheer him on and show your love for this local star as he steps out of his comfort zone to make a difference!

About Christopher's Challenge:

Christopher's Challenge is dedicated to educating, raising awareness, and encouraging individuals to become potential bone marrow donors. The organization also provides financial support to patients and their families at the Wilmot Cancer Center. By becoming a potential marrow donor, you could give someone a second chance at life!

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to sign up to become a potential marrow donor. It’s simple – just complete a brief registration and a cheek swab. If you're lucky enough to match a patient, DKMS Registry will contact you for next steps.

Travel down to the farm with Rochester’s most fabulous drag queens! Doors open at 10:30, brunch starts at 11:00 and the honky-tonk show starts at 12pm. $75 tickets which includes brunch buffet and the show.  In addition to a raffle during the event, $10 from every ticket goes directly to the non-profit, ROCovery Fitness! Please note that the brunch will be a pre-set buffet, not our normal menu. Tickets are by reserved seating, please note, if you do not purchase all tickets at your table, you may be seated with other parties. Parties larger than four are encouraged to purchase two tables close to each other and adjust them together upon arrival. We suggest bringing some cash for tipping the fabulous queens (but please don't tip the farm cows)!
